In 2005 Danielle moved to Arezzo and began what she calls the Villa Margherita Project: Fresco Studio, Art Gallery & International Art Club. Spanish horses and the love for dressage lured Danielle to the area, as well as a love for Piero della Francesca. Friends from Rome visited the same year and introduced Danielle to Maurizio. They got married soon afterwards and have been working on the project together ever since. In 2010, Danielle & Maurizio found a gallery space on the square near the heavenly frescoes by Piero della Francesca and decided to OPEN SHOP and say “CARPE DIEM! VIVA ARTE!” In 2010 they also created the VILLA MARGHERITA INTERNATIONAL ART CLUB and opened their doors to artists with the goal to create a wonderful, exciting, nurturing, dynamic, and highly creative space for local & international artists …a sort of...“paradise” or “PIEROdise” for artists! click here for more photos of VILLA MARGHERITA
