Since 2010, The VILLICANA D'ANNIBALE GALLERIA D'ARTE has been a distinguished and unique resource for modern and contemporary art in Arezzo, Tuscany. The gallery features excellent local and international artists including Daniele Alfani, Vladimiro Andidero, Bryan Barasch, Enrico Borgogni, Giustino Caposciutti, DALO, Lorenzo Donati, Silvano Fabbroni, Luigi Falai, Pasquale Nero Galante, Giacobbe Giusti, Susan Leyland, Alessandro Marrone, Pasquale Marzelli, Giancarlo Montuschi, Ugo Pagliaro, Maurizio Pichi, Silvestro Pistolesi, Re Bello, Sandro Ricci, Maria Alejandra Sandoval, Christopher Slatoff, and Danielle Villicana D'Annibale. The gallery is focused on traditional to abstract painting and sculpture, created by local and internationally renowned masters as well as emerging artists.
Upcoming exhibits in 2013 will include Giancarlo Montuschi, Arnaldo Boscherini, Giustino Caposciutti, Antonella Cedro, Luigi Falai, Susan Leyland, Nino Barone and Company, Silvestro Pistolesi, Rino Giannini, Enrico Borgogni, Paolo Caponi, Riccardo Terziani, Claudio Orlandi, Giacobbe Giusti, Pasquale Nero Galante, Marco Cipolli, Valerio de Filippis, Alessandro Marrone, Maurizio Pichi and Danielle Villicana D'Annibale.
The gallery has become an oasis for artists, art collectors and art lovers of all kinds since our opening December 11, 2010. We have hosted and organized 41 exhibitions, published 14 catalogues and 10 ebooks, and in total over 150 artists have exhibited in our space in just over two and a half years.
The local artists in the Arezzo area are plentiful and extremely talented. They are all descendants of Michelangelo, Piero della Francesco, and Georgio Vasari ... and they all have art in their soul and spirit. Our gallery exhibits the multitude of emerging talent as well as mature talent in the area. We carefully design our program to include both, giving opportunity to the new emerging talent. The majority of the local artists are also poets, all being decendants of Francesco Petrarca, thus we enjoy combining art and poetry in our events.
We invite you to participate at our exhibit openings and events including interviews of the artists by excellent art critics and historians, poetry readings as well as on occasion musical events which accompany our exhibitions. We highly recommend that you consider our artists and include them in your art collections. The best investment that you could ever make is a work of art. It will feed your soul and maybe it will become a Cezanne, Van Gogh, Marcel du Champ, Picasso, Damien Hirst or Maurizio Cattelan. Be a part of contemporary art in Tuscany, Italy!
If you are an artist, poet or musician and would like to exhibit or take part in the activities at our gallery, we are always looking for new talent. Please contact us for more information and send a resumè or cv and proposal or call for an appointment. We are interested in collaborating, speaking with you, and looking at your artwork.
Our goal at the gallery is to include artists and art lovers of all kinds, promote the love for contemporary art in the youth, and to enhance an exciting dynamic experience of contemporary art. Thus our services include three areas: GALLERY, WORKSHOPS & INTERNATIONAL ART CLUB. You are welcome to take part in the Villa Margherita International Art Club events which are organized in order to create opportunities for cultural and artistic growth and exchange, between Italy and the United States (as Danielle Villicana D'Annibale is of American origin) as well as all countries in this beautiful world, besides just to simply have some fun, meet some new people and eat great Italian food and drink fabulous Tuscan wine! They are free, held in the beautiful garden at Villa Margherita a Paradise for Artists in Tuscany and based on “everyone bring something and share pot luck style!” Most of the artists that frequent the gallery have frequented these get togethers and we have been having a great time!
